    Who is Neko Mama?

Thank you for stumbling upon my little webspace. I hope you'll be able to find something interesting here!
I am a mid 20's wife and mother, learning how to live like a 50's housewife in todays world. I want to give my family nourishment from every aspect possible. Love, Time, Fun, Food and Education. With todays world so fast paced, I am trying to slow it all down so we can learn to appreciate the small things. I love all things Japan, and cannot wait to one day travel there. My husband and I both wish to live there for a short period of time. We are both studying the language at the moment, speaking as much as possible at home to encourage our studies.

While I am no expert, I do have those moments where I wish I had someone to share my knowledge with. Hence why this blog was created. I wish to simply share my experiences and learn along the way. After all, we never stop learning!

The recipes you'll find here are most likely from books or other websites, I will always link you back to the original recipe. I'll let you know what I changed and if it worked out alright. I'm also not ashamed of posting my flops, so look out for a laugh!

Bento is a really amazing way to keep your family living healthy. I want to show you that it is EASIER than pie to make a Bento if your prepared (or even unprepared!) My husband has already shown me the benifits of packing him a lunch everyday. He has become less stressed, happier and very appreciative towards me. What wife wouldn't want that?

Organisation, well, I am one of the most forget and unorganised person in the world. I am nothing like my amazing mother-in-law who is just "WHOA" organised. But, if you work at it, and take your time, and work alongside me. I am sure we'll all get to a stage where it's not 'whoa' but it's just good enough. I have little epiphanies every now and again so i'll make sure to share them around!

Another big point I need to make is Family Time. Ways to spend time with yourfamily while your still living in this crazy fast world. It's not easy, not even when you are a stay-at-home parent. It's not easy when you suffer from post-natal depression or post traumatic stress disorder. I've been through that, I've been through the hard times. I understand how ugly and horrible it feels. So i'll share my findings as I find them myself. We all need help some times.

So if I have still got your attention reading through all this, I thank you for taking the time. The easiest way to keep updated is to submit your email address into the side box over there --->

If you ever have questions, suggestions, queries, comments please leave me a Nya (aka comment).

    My love to you all!
